Latte: Christy flower with crema in big mug. Mild roasted coffee flavor and small matching bubbles.
Nayeli service with a smile that is genuine and present.
Clean vaulted bright warm space with new and tasteful furniture.
    Plenty of quiet parking.
Met old timer Michael and exchanged a few updates like two ants intersecting with antenna touch.  For him it was backing away from the rat race and putting family friends and health first.
Wondering where my 90 year old regular friend Dave is.

This is a second location opened up from the original Big Mug Cafe in Santa Clara.
I liked the original Big Mug for some of their signature drinks but it was always way too crowded so I didn't bother to go.

This new location though is spacious and not loud. Great as a place to study and work. I really liked the grapefruit ade from the original location so this time I tried strawberry one. It was okay but I liked the grapefruit one better.

They have various teas, coffee, soda and pastries on their menu. I haven't tried most of them but they looked pretty good in the display.

First time at Big Mug. Nice feel. Relaxing, chill music, and sure a hit with others. There is very little seating open this afternoon. I understand this is their newer location that was a different coffee place before.

Iced mango peach tea was prepared with tea bag in an easy to handle container. The taste is there but not overpowering. Not a fan of strong tea so like that this allows me to get the strength of tea that works for me.

The sign near the door says "Soft opening. Menu is limited. Sorry." So fair warning on that but it seems they have been open for a few months. Would be nice to know when they are complete. That said, it is very busy and everyone seems happy.

Ambiance: I absolutely love this coffee shop for its environment. It is quite difficult to find a coffee shop to study at in San Jose for a couple reason: most of them are located downtown (I hate dealing with parking) & the ones that are not located downtown, such as Starbucks or Philz Coffee, is way too crowded and noisy to work at. I highly recommend this place to students or anyone who needs to get some work done here. It is spacious, the lighting is perfect (I hate how dark Starbucks can be sometimes), there is wifi, and there is also an ample amount of seating and outlets.

Coffee: The coffee was lovely. I got a caramel iced lattee with nonfat milk. The menu does not show flavored lattees but you are allowed to request it. I was told that there is vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut. The total for my iced coffee was just under $5. I was charged 30 cents to get it iced.

Parking: private lot. Located behind McDonalds. Should not be a problem to find parking.

Overall thoughts: I'm going to be honest, I was not too impressed with the coffee...perhaps I would have enjoyed their pour overs? Nonetheless, I would still be returning because it is an ideal spot to get work done or catch up with friends.

I'm a big fan of the location on El Camino.  I love getting the hot matcha latte there. The matcha taste is good, it's lightly sweetened, and the latte art is nice. I enjoyed the same drink at the new location. This one is a good study spot as well, parking is available, and it's an ok atmosphere. Overall, good place to go to for coffee or tea if you're in the area.
